Math Topics
Math builds on itself and there are many topics to know.
You start out with the number system and learn about
negative numbers. Then you learn that subtraction
is the opposite of addition. Then you move onto
multiplication and learn that division is the opposite
of that. Then you learn about Order of Operations
so you learn how to do adding, subtracting,
multiplication and division in the correct order.
Then you move onto Algebra where you use addition,
subtraction, multiplication
and division to find an unknown variable. You are
introduced to equations and formulas. These
equations and can graphed on the Cartesian plane. You
will need to solve the equations for the unknown value.
Regular equations involve an equal signs but there are
also inequalities where there are boundaries on the
values an equation can have.
You may also get into imaginary numbers and how to graph
those.
Then you learn about exponential and logarithmic
equations and how to graph them and solve for variables.
After that you may get into more advanced topics like
Inverse Functions, Absolute values, Sequences, Series,
Binomial Expansion, transformation of functions,
matrices, asymptotes, non-linear equations, mathematics
induction, linear programming and Partial Fractions.
